So far I really like using it. If you are a shadow pdr tech user, then this light is for you. If you are a line board pdr guy like myself, then you still will appreciate the bulb acting as a single line like a line board. The LED bulb faces inward giving the utmost fade. Really bright and actually great to use.

Well I have been lately training Dan the art of paintless dent repair, soon to be (DanoDents.com). I am planning to video his first week progress, which I think will surprise most of you. Earlier today, I took a sharp knockdown and stabbed the panel and caused a very deep and sharp dent. If I told you he removed it out 100% I would be lying. But truthfully ( only his 3rd day) he removed it about 85% without oil canning or cracking paint.
Removing such a deep dent involves a ton of patience, the right tools and accurate pin pointing. Dan is doing remarkably well. His background is a certified BMW mechanic with a knack for detail. A perfect candidate for learning paintless dent removal.

Encinitas, Ca - Performing paintless dent repair on older model vehicles can be somewhat of a challenge. Luckily this model, (1977 Datsun 280z) was considered the lightest of it's class back in the day, and the sheet metal prove to be so - thank gosh. Because pushing out dents out on classics usually means a brutal work out for any pdr technician's arms and wrists.
This Datsun had many dings going down the side of both doors. Total time was about 2 and half hours and as you will see in the videos below, the dent repair service came out great.

For anyone reading and watching this paintless dent removal repair I performed, I have to tell you, it was not easy. It took me 6 hours and 22 minutes to remove about 90-95% (In my opinion). The edge was jacked up! Any veteran pdr techs who have worked on Ford metal understand the level of difficulty it involved doing this dent. Of course I used heat to prevent the edge of the paint from completely cracking. From the beginning it already had paint cracked on the inside edge because of the initial impact.
Why I took this dent on was for two reasons. The forst reason I thought it would be pretty cool to test out my new camera rig - Canon 7D. Two, to keep myself learning and seeing how well I could get the edge out. Now I thought I could get it out closer to 100% but since the paint was blown already from the inside, I did not want to take a chance of it splitting any further. As mentioned, I used heat and a lot of it. I plan to talk about this dent in the Glue Pull Practicals dvd as well. Lots of awesome good stuff in there too!
This pdr dent repair tool me a lot longer than I thought and I could not get the same feel because I started too late and obviously finished too late. But I hope you enjoy the presentation of the video and perhaps learn something - even though I did not explain any techniques.
