M3 PDR Training Dent Repair Tutorial - Paintless Dent Removal

What's up everyone. I through a little highlight of this M3 BMW dent repair video I did recently. This dent was extremely deep and and on the verge of "No Can Do" due to the location and depth. There were 3 things that made this dent extremely difficult. Depth, location and type of dent (crease).

To an ordinary person, the dent is obvious but beyond obvious, it has a crease inside the dent that went across the body line. I needed to use heat. Oh and yes, even us Cali pdr techs use heat even with our sunny weather. Always pack your heat! Heat gun that is.

There were some details about the tools used and tips used to remove the dent but I will ad that on my dvds coming out this winter. I hope you like and please leave a comment. It lets me know what you like and don't. Take care and enjoy the video.

Body Line Dent Repair PDR Training - Part 3

Alright everyone, I was recording Alex's progress in regards to performing high quality paintless dent removal with body lines. I don't give out details about my process how I train but you can definitely see his progress through the video. This was the beginning of his 3rd week and he's doing amazing. Both him and Fotis are establishing themselves as future premier PDR techs.

The hardest thing about learning how to remove body line dents is keeping your tool tip accurate. If you make a miss-push, then you have to correct it. Don't let it get out of hand. My training is known for clean and symmetrical repairs that have not pock marks, micro cracks in the paint or looks messy.

Alex and Fotis were taught this technique the first week. The second is perfecting and well by the 3rd week, you can see the results yourself. That's why 4 weeks is always the best way to go for really grasping and understanding the full nature of the PDR repair process. Meanwhile, take a look and you'll see what I mean.

Door Ding Removal PDR Training - Part 2a PDR Greece Students

I am going a little backwards on the training or shall I say updates. This video was showing Alex's first real attempts at typical door dings. Not bad for learning the line board, tool tip control, working against a brace and keeping the panel free of pock marks or micro cracks.

Since then, Alex's progress has been very fast. Today, (not shown yet) Alex showed great poise and accurate tool tip location which will be his next video clip we will show next week.

Fotis, is also showing tremendous progress and doing very well on soft dents that have hidden crowns. Both students again are expected to achieve high marks by the end of the pdr training course.

I always mention, the longer a trainee can stay, the better. There are some very important reasons why too.

-improves technique into good habit
-absorbs what is taught and given enough time to understand the full process.
-so much too learn in such a short amount of time.

Now there is no way we can teach everything to a student in 4 weeks, but we sure can guarantee our students develop accurate and successful techniques that will help him/her become a well rounded PDR technician. Deep Center Pit PDR Dent Repair Training: Part 2

A deep ding repair is probably one of the most difficult and frustrating things to learn when it comes to learning paintless dent repair / removal.

My Greek students Alex and Fotis are doing great. We have been currently working on deep body line dents as of now but this clip shows the progress and repair "Fotis" did early on Monday. This was originally shot in HD but I had to compress it so I could upload the file.

Fotis is the one you see removing the deep ding and later this week we'll have Alex's dent repair shown. So stay tuned and we'll keep you posted on their progress. Great Job Fotis!

PDR Training Students From Athens, Greece Part 1

Ok I have been quite busy lately training two fellas that are from Athens, Greece. They are here for the 4 week course and already on the sixth day and are making extraordinary progress.

As of right now we are in the deep ding / dent removal process. This involves precise tool tip placement, patience and acute hand-eye coordination. This type of dent is very challenging because of a center pit. The center pit needs to be worked out a certain way or it will over stretch, have miss-pushes or simply turn into a disaster.

I will have some footage of their progress and will post here exclusively which will not be seen anywhere but on my blog. The first photo is one of the guys named "Fotis" and he's very quiet, patient and funny. The other great guy is "Alex" who is a strong willed person who is determined to succeed and stays persistent, not to mention very funny as well. Both guys have great characteristics and drive to develop into high quality pdr techs.

It's so important when it comes to PDR training that you come with an open mind and drive. I mentioned to Alex and Fotis that paintless dent repair will be very challenging and test their patience and emotions before they ever got on a plane. And so far, learning pdr has already pushed them into new limits. I knew they were serious about learning and so far, they have taken their lessons well and I assume it will continue throughout their training. As I mentioned, I will take some video of their progress and post here tomorrow and try to update once or twice a week.

Full Version Bentley Dent Repair Video / Glue Pull

Hey everyone, I finally finished cutting my own video. I have been busy creating a lot of other companies video and had a quick chance to work on my own. Anyhow, here is the finished PDR glue pull Bentley Brooklands dent repair.

I was in a hurry to finish the video and did not specify the time. It took about an hour to repair. I had to be very accurate with knocking down so I could avoid tap down pits. All in all, it came out very well. I hope you like my sense of humor as well. I like to bring my childhood memories into my videos once in awhile.

Bentley Brooklands Dent Repair Glue Pull Video Trailer

Well, I'm almost done editing this Bentley glue pulling video. I don't just like to slap videos together and say here ya go. Sorry if this was too much of a tease but I can at least say the results were pretty good.

I really did not want to glue pull this Bentley but they said honestly they were going to send it to the body shop anyway if it did not work. Well fortunately the glue pulling pdr method was a success and you'll have to see the reults later when I finish the post production.
