Mobile Auto Body Shop On Wheels - New Bumper Repair Video

San Diego Bumper Time - I just finally got around and created an updated video for our other sister division BumperTime.com. I added a new intro I was working on and to say the least came out pretty decent. I wanted to do a quick informative process video to help our customers understand the bumper repair process.

Obviously bumper repair is a little time consuming and not just a wham, bam and we're done service. Our qualified technicians thoroughly pay close attention to detail. Which means we stand behind our craftsmanship. Bumper Time guarantees a factory computer color match along with a written lifetime warranty.

What Matters Most? Quality or Price?

It's hard to be aware that auto reconditioning is a skilled trade and takes a lot of experience to gain outstanding results. At Dent Time we take great steps educating our customers that in most cases, if you "buy cheap, you buy twice."

Unfortunately most people want the cheapest repair but at the moment, not concerned with quality. Just because you shop around for the best bargain doesn't mean you will always get the best repair. Paintless dent removal (PDR) or bumper scratch repair is not like going to the store and buying a gallon of milk. Every repair situation is unique and requires independent skill and expertise. That is why there are so many price differences between companies and the biggest difference is quality. The lack of overall experience and caliber in the end will show unpromising results after your commitment has already been made.

At Dent Time we stand behind our work 100% with a written lifetime warranty as well. But that is not the main factor. Our service has great value besides the guarantees. We offer professional mobile service, performed in the same day (1-4 hours to be exact) and save you lots time and money.

Moral of story, if you plan to choose Dent Time, the overall value you will receive is more than you paid for and won't have to worry in the end.

Paintless Dent Repair / Removal PDR 4 week Training Curriculum

I finally posted on my website the curriculum (Bigger if click on link.)that is involved in a 4 week paintless dent repair training course. Later on I will post a 2 and 3 week pdr training curriculum. But as for now future students can get a real good idea what's involved in the 4 week course.

I posted this curriculum for 2 reasons.

#1. So you can have at least a point of direction what to compare. Unfortunately, you won't learn what is in our curriculum with just 1 week training and this is crucial. The real world awaits after you go to school. Just make sure you were taught real world dents... not dings.

#2. It's always important that a student should know what to expect to learn. To me, I see our students maintain focus and push themselves through a faster learning curve. If the students don't have a visual about their lessons, then their readiness might not be as focused.

Spring Valley Customer - Harley Davidson Gas Tank Paintless Dent Repair / Removal

Spring Valley, San Diego - Removing dents on a motorcycle gas tank is like Forest Gump says, "It's like a box of chocolates and you never know what your gunna get." In my own terms, how it's going to turn out. Usually in the first five minutes I can get a read about a few things. #1 I will have a nice repair and it will come out smoothly. #2 It will come out but not without a fight. Or #3 It won't come out at all.

Gas tanks can be one of the most challenging dent repairs to perform. Obviously there are factors before you even begin.

#1 How deep is the dent? Depth and sharpness play a roll on any type of dent removal and this sure was no exception.

#2 Getting to the dent. Access is definitely the challenge because there could be a baffle blocking access or the neck around the collar is too long that doesn't allow leverage.

#3 How thick the tank really is. This particular gas tank was real thick and I almost gave up. Access was not a problem just pushing on it was. Thick gas tanks get you to doubt where your tool tip really is and almost show not flex in the metal when applying pressure. This was the most difficult of the repair process.

But I have to admit this repair did not come out perfect. The metallic in the paint clouded out as I pushed. This is caused because the metallic simply was stretched in and when stretched back out, it turns a cloudy looking effect. Color sanding helps reduce this somewhat and in some cases removes it all the way. But don't count on it all the time. Heat does seem to help though in some cases.

Body Line Part 2 Trailer - Download Out Now

Well folks, we finally completed the body line tutorial part 2. The reason I say part 2 is because it is a spin off from the M35 tutorial that was real successful and we received a lot of positive feed back. So there were some questions from the first and I decided to do another one like it but with me narrating it and animating the important parts you should see and take note.

This paintless dent repair tutorial is considered an advance dent repair but all are welcome to purchase if your curiosity sees fit. If you are a beginner, I am not saying it won't help you but it is best if you go in sequence. Start from the first Episode 1 and follow along from there. I try to keep my tutorials balanced for all types of pdr techs. Beginners, advanced and those who really are curious about the line board the benefit it offers.

I am trying to make this as simple as possible. Now simple is never really used in pdr because it isn't. My point is that how I explain the process. But don't worry, I have plenty more video tutorials coming out. Episode 2 should be coming out soon for download and you won't want to miss out on the knock down technique.

Anyhow, the download is available for $25 and well worth it. Here is the direct link (download info) and as you notice, here is the trailer of the advanced body line part 2
